Ayta ash Shab is a Lebanese town from the towns of Bint Jbeil District in the governorate of Nabatieh. the town is about 1 km northeast of the Israeli border, and it is 136 km from Beirut and rises between 650 m and 700 meters from the sea. the villagers has a fixed salary from agricultural products, such as wheat, barley, goats and beehives, in addition to "occasional revenues". before 2006 the village is described as A well-built village of stone, situated on hill-top, with figs, olives, and arable land.
