Aayta Ej Jabal is one of the Lebanese villages of Bint Jbeil District in Nabatieh Governorate. The town rises 680m above sea level it is 112 km away from Beirut. Ayta Ej-Jabal was previously known as Ayta al-Zott, a compound name of two parts: Itta in Syriac, meaning a church and a group, and the second part, al-zott wich means non-Arab people from central Asia known as the gypsies.
