Froun is one of Lebanese villages in the villages of
Bint Jbeil District in Nabatieh Governorate.
The town is 93 km from Beirut and 17km from bintjbeil,
the village rises 720 m meters from the sea.
According to E. H. Palmer, the name Furûn comes
from "the ovens" or "reservoirs".
The families of town are Alharke, Abu T'aam, Jaber,Ja'afar,
Haj Ali, Hayek, Hijazi, Hasan, Halawi, Hmadi, Hamdon, Hamze,
Hamod, Haidar, Khrais, Khalil, Dhayni, Dirani, Rkayyn, and Ramadan.
