Bra'shit is one of the largest Lebanese villages in the villages of Bint Jbeil District in Nabatieh Governorate. in southern Lebanon and is administratively affiliated to the governorate of Nabatiyeh / Bint Jbeil district. and It locates nearest to the towns Shaqra, Safad, Tibnin, Bayt Yahun, Kunin and Aitaroun. In the town there are some old monuments, two rock cabins and old tombs (the cave of Rashid). moreaddition There are also some old buildings (mosque, church), , water wells and ponds.

Belong to the name of town There are several stories about the origin of the name of the town, but the prevailing theory is that the town was called the pasture of Shith relative to the Prophet Sheth son of Adam (p) where he was herding livestock in the land of the town, and then developed the name later to (Bra'chit). also relate to Phoenician its name is belong to "Petra Chita" means the descendants of Sheth or the sons of Sheth.
